A new year, a new town, a new home. And a new set of Project 52 posts, starting off with an appropriate theme: New. Steve and I have moved from the lush green of Hamilton to the hot, dry climate of Hawke's Bay; dubbed the Fruitbowl of New Zealand and home to Cape Kidnappers, the annual Art Deco Festival in Napier and a fabulous network of cycling or hiking trails for folks wanting to keep fit.
To celebrate, we're getting a couple of bikes from the folks at Wallis Cycles, which means it won't be long until you'll find us with the wind in our faces, our little legs pedalling like mad things and suffering from rather sore boo-hinds.
In the meantime, Horse and Rocky are making themselves right at home. I'm going to have to buy some kitty sunblock, as Horse's little pink nose makes him a prime candidate for skin cancer. And there's a heck of a lot more sunshine here in Hawke's Bay than in the Waikato. Roll on summer; with beaches, bike rides and barbeques.
It's far from summer where our next P52 blogger lives: time to visit Toronto and Collingwood, Ontario Pet Photographer; Cynthia Wood of Pets We Love Photography and see what's new in her neck of the woods. Follow the links through the 18-blog circle - I'll see you back here soon!
